Counter Strike:Global Offensive and QUAKECON
Apr 15
It's been a long time since anything had been updated here, and the old new is just that, old. It's been removed so that we can bring you a new look inside
Team [OMFG!] First off, Team [OMFG!] is had been fortunate enough to receive Counter Strike:Global Offensive Beta keys. So far we have to agree that we love
this game. Of course, like all betas, there are issues, but they are being worked on to present what I may think to be the best of the CS series. I personally
haven't played any of the Counter Strike games in several years, and most of the other members had never played them. I have to say that I love that Valve had
kept the main maps still in rotation, and the graphics are just beautiful. The gameplay is just how I remember it, so many years ago. Most of all, I love how
the players are so forgiving in the beta. I obviously suck, and they are helping each of us get used to the style. Its way different from the Team Fortress 2 we
are used to. I believe Valve is doing the right thing with the "competitive" play by using official Valve servers for that. Hopefully they keep it vanilla.
Team [OMFG!] is also proud to announce that we will be attending QUAKECON. We won't be competing, unless there are non-invite tournaments going on. We will be
fine tuning our Quake Live skills in the mean time. Keep checking the site, we will be posting pictures from QUAKECON and possibly some video and gameplay from
the event.
